The reach and wash
type of water fed poles are a very
safe and cost effective way of cleaning windows and facades at both
high and low level.
With the Tucker Pole system used by
SKS, poles can reach up to 70ft, (that's about 5 or 6 storeys) whilst the operative stays at ground
level. This is safer, but also means that there is less
disturbance to the occupants of the building and there is no heavy
equipment to damage lawns or flower beds.
It
also eliminates the need for for risky and expensive machinery like
cherry pickers and spiders.
The
system uses 100% pure de-ionised water which evaporates without
leaving smears or spots on the glass and doesn't use chemicals
or cause environmental damage.
Frames, sills and ledges can be cleaned at the same time as the
windows, when external fascias or panelled style buildings are
being cleaned, detergent can be added.

Working at Height legislation means that the
owner or occupier of a building is responsible for
ensuring that work undertaken at their premises conforms to Health &
Safety legislation. Window cleaning from the ground with the Tucker
Pole system eliminates the need for ladder ties on the outside of
the building or cleaning from the inside (which requires harness
fixing points) as well as and the need to have them properly installed,
maintained and inspected.
Poles are telescopic and can be used at low
level and even on conservatory roofs.
